Our Gemini Stain Blending Station mixes seven primary stain colors and a clear base to create almost any color you can imagine. Bring in any sample and our team will match it, any stain, any paint. We mix everything in-house, and other paint stores even send customers our way for matches they can’t make.
Paula and Scott wanted a deep, dark teal stain for their kitchen cabinets. Shop after shop told them it couldn’t be tinted that dark. Then another paint store sent them our way.
We custom mix every color right here in our store, so we’re never stuck with a preset chart or an off-the-shelf formula. Our stain team builds each color from the base up and adjusts the colorant drop by drop until it matches what you’re picturing, not just what’s on a swatch. For Paula and Scott, we tested several drawdowns on their sample board, then stained a full board to check it on real wood. It still wasn’t quite right, so we refined the formula and nailed it on the next pass.
Every customer, every project, and every piece of wood is different. That’s why we don’t settle for close enough. Bring us a sample, a photo, or just an idea. If the formula doesn’t exist yet, we’ll write it.
We were looking for a dark teal stain for our cabinets. After visiting several other area shops, we were told that they couldn’t get the stain as dark as we wanted. We went to accent and the stain folks there actually seemed exited for the challenge. While they hadn’t done a similar job before, they were easy and enthusiastic to work with they gave multiple different options on my sample board. When I chose one and stained a full board, I didn’t like it. I brought it back in very sheepish to keep being picky about my teal but they were super understanding and able to get it the exact right color on the next try. We’re so happy with the results and the high level of customer service they provided. I’ll be going back for all of my custom colors in the future.
Ted started Accent in 2001 with a rural garage, a lot of hard work, and a lot of prayer. Today his sons, Adam and Noah, work right alongside him, carrying the same values into the next generation. When you work with Accent, you’re working with a family that’s invested in this community and in getting every job right.
