“In 2001, I started Accent Finishing. I was determined to grow my business, and through hard work and lots of prayer, we have expanded into the successful business we have today.” Ted Pretasky, Owner and Founder
Ted starts Accent Finishing in his rural garage. Projects quickly outgrow the space, and his wife, Anne, makes it clear that paint fumes and family time don't mix.
Ted is hired to remodel and finish a space on Highway 12. When the tenant doesn't come back, a colleague suggests it would make a good spot for his business, and Accent Finishing moves in.
Ted adds Accent Paint Store at the front of the building, so homeowners and contractors can shop quality products from people who use them every day.
Quality work and good service bring more referrals. The finishing shop behind the store is added onto again and again, and the team grows one person at a time.
Ted's sons, Adam and Noah, work right alongside him and are carrying Accent forward. The mission hasn't changed: take care of people and have fun doing great work.
Accent grew through hard work and lots of prayer. We rely on our faith in good times and tough ones, and we count our blessings together.
Our mission is to make a living and have fun selling and applying finishing products. You’ll feel it the minute you walk in the door.
Our teams put a high value on quality and pull together to get every project right. You can count on us to take care of you.
